เป็นจังหวะเรียกว่า repetitive TMS ( rTMS ) ซึ่งการปรับค่าตั้งแต่ ความแรงคลื่น

( Intensity ) , ความถี่ ( Frequency ) และการวางหรือชนิดของขดลวด ( coil direction ) ของการปล่อยกระแสใน TMS ที่แตกต่างออกไปโดยใช้ความถี่สูง ( High frequency ) มากว่า 1 Hz ในการกระตุ้นการทำงานของเปลือกสมอง ( Excitatory effect ) และความถี่ต่ำ ( Low frequency ) น้อยกว่า หรือเท่ากับ 1 HZ ในการยับยั้งการทำงานของเปลือกสมอง ( Inhibitory effect )
